There is something about sky blue that feels like the beginning of summer.
Perhaps it's because it mirrors the clear morning sky after a long stretch of gray days. Or maybe it's the way it brings to mind open windows, longer afternoons, lake breezes, and the promise of a slower pace.
In interiors, sky blue has a unique ability to feel both fresh and timeless. It introduces color without overwhelming a space, adding a sense of lightness, optimism, and ease. Whether used on upholstery, accessories, artwork, or cabinetry, it quietly brightens a room and reflects the relaxed elegance that summer brings.
As the season begins, I find myself drawn to shades of sky blue for exactly that reason. They remind us to look up, enjoy the longer days, and welcome the beauty of a new season.
